5. Jeff, thief of joy.
Nobody knows where Jeff came from. It’s thought in some circles he might have once been human, and having been abandoned by his one true love turned to the dark side, and after many years of evil deeds, morphed from a man into a beast. Other circles think he’s just a git. Either way, Jeff travels the world searching for those about to receive bad news, and as they get it, he stands by, silent and invisible, to steal their joy.
